Pancake Breakfast
Monticello Interact Club is sponsoring our annual pancake breakfast in the Monticello High School cafeteria. Tickets are $7 for adults $5 seniors and students pancakes eggs sausage bagels and beverages will be served. 8am - 12noon.
Baking up a bagel bash; go big or go home
There will be movie stars, sports celebrities, sculptures made specifically for the weekend, the biggest tie-dyed bagel ever made and the longest bagel chain ever assembled. Read more
Catskill Mountain Chapter of Hadassah Event
On Wednesday, at Temple Sholom (corner of Rte. 42 and Dillon Rd.) 7:00 pm. There will be a showing of the movie “Loving Leah”. After the movie there will be a discussion led by Pam Sussman. Sullivan will hold open tourism meeting
After encountering pressure from reporters and members of the public, the Sullivan County Legislature scheduled another round of presentations by the two nonprofit organizations who are vying for the contract to promote tourism in the county. The presentations are scheduled for October 30 at 10 a.m. at the government center in Monticello and will be open to the press and public. The contract comes with some $500,000 in room tax revenue. Bleak Sullivan healthcare landscape discussed; poverty aggravates bad health
In recent weeks, county legislator Kathy LaBuda has reminded the people who attend meetings at the government center that Sullivan County is the “second poorest county in the state.” At a community health improvement forum at the Ted Stroeble Community Center in Monticello on October 4, Carol Ryan, director of public health, reminded people that the same goes for health outcomes, where Sullivan is the second poorest in the state. Rubinstein to be remembered
