The Towpath Trail, which runs along the Delaware River underneath the Roebling Bridge in Minisink Ford is depicted at left, on August 25. The photo on the right was taken on August 29 at the same location following Hurricane Irene’s visit to the region. The National Park Service has been attempting to restore the walking path since 2009, but various flooding events such as this one have prevented the permanent re-opening of the trail.
