The victim of a teacher convicted of molesting a third-grade student is seeking restitution from the teacher that was convicted of molesting many years ago. In 2006, Thomas Matthews, a former teacher at Shohola Elementary School, was convicted of various charges after students testified about how he put his hands under their clothing. Read more

A group of military veterans calling themselves “Tim’s Support Team” is sponsoring an October 27 spaghetti dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Marsch-Kellogg American Legion Post in Milford. The 14th annual Black Bear Festival in Milford is not only for film buffs and art lovers; it’s also good for the local economy, said founding president Jerry Beaver at the pre-festival press conference on September 17 in the old Milford Theatre that is once again going to host the event.
