Sullivan to transfer property to Cornell

Everyone agreed that the building that houses Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) Sullivan County is in serious need of repair. The heating system, for example, is on its last legs, and staff this year strung some temporary wires and thermostats to coax heat into some of the colder places used for public programs.  Read more

Liberty holiday parade and tree lighting ceremony

The Town of Liberty third annual Town of Liberty Holiday Parade in conjunction with the Town’s annual Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony, Main St., 6pm. Following the parade the annual Tree Lighting will take place at the Town Hall and Liberty Main Street Stage. Light refreshments will be served. 845/292-7690.

Liberty town board accepts preliminary budget, sets public hearing

At their regularly scheduled monthly meeting on October 21, the Liberty Town Board accepted the preliminary budget for 2014 as presented to them by budgeting and accounting coordinator Cheryl Gerow.

A public hearing for the preliminary budget is scheduled for Monday, October 28 at 5:30 p.m. at the Town Hall, 120 North Main Street in Liberty.  Read more
