Hitch hiker arrested on Route 17 for drug possession

On April 15, 2013 A State Trooper stationed in Roscoe observed Joshua Space, age 31, of Windsor, NY walking on State Route 17 in the Town of Liberty. Space who was illegally hitch hiking on a State Highway failed to provide identification and was found to be in possession of Suboxone, a controlled substance.  Read more

Cornell Extension ends furloughs

After a strong showing of support from individuals throughout Sullivan County to its emergency donation appeal, Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) Sullivan County will reopen its office five days a week and bring staff back to work full-time on May 13. The board of directors’ executive committee voted on May 10 to end the furlough.  Read more

Silk Scarf Painting Workshop

A scarf painting workshop will be offered by Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) Sullivan County at the Gerald J. Skoda Extension Education Center, 5:30-8:30pm.
