New Liberty Elementary School principal
The Liberty Central School District Board of Education unanimously approved the selection of Scott Brown as the new principal of the Liberty Elementary School at the Board of Education meeting on May 7. Brown will replace long-time principal Jeri Finnegan, who will retire in June. Read more

Hitch hiker arrested on Route 17 for drug possession
On April 15, 2013 A State Trooper stationed in Roscoe observed Joshua Space, age 31, of Windsor, NY walking on State Route 17 in the Town of Liberty. Space who was illegally hitch hiking on a State Highway failed to provide identification and was found to be in possession of Suboxone, a controlled substance. Read more
