Hit and run of a support beam at the fire house in Honesdale

Sometime Tuesday May 24 there was a hit and run, which the Honesdale Borough Police Department are currently investigating. A support beam for a stairwell outside Honesdale Fire Department Hose Company #1 was struck by an unknown vehicle. The driver left the scene. The stairwell is in an alley next to Hose #1 and the Limerick.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Honesdale Borough Police at 253-1900.

Honesdale fight brings cops

Honesdale Borough Police responded to a reported fight at 1037 Main Street, Apt. 4, nn 05-13-2011 at 2:23 a.m. The fight had spilled out onto the porch at the location, but was finished prior to police arrival. After an investigation, Honesdale Borough Police have filed charges against three persons involved in the fight early that morning.  Read more
