Donations sought for Honesdale fireworks

Honesdale’s 2012 Fireworks Celebration will take place on Tuesday, July 3, with a rain date of Friday, July 6. The Greater Honesdale Partnership (GHP) is asking the community’s financial help to make the event possible. “Major Sponsors” ($500 or more) will be acknowledged in the GHP’s advertising about the event if donations are received by June 15.  Read more

Cooperage building opens with gala celebration; space dedicated to the community

The old Cooperage building at 1030 Main Street, which was built in 1861, will get a new lease on life with plans to make the historic facility a common space for community activities.
