Members of a major drug ring have been arrested, according to PA Attorney General Kathleen Kane, and two of them live in Honesdale. A press release from Kane said that 20 people were arrested on February 22, as part of a two-and-a-half year investigation into the operation. Read more
At the commissioners meeting on February 21, the Wayne County Historical Society was granted permission by the commissioners to have access to the Old Stone Jail and the Bethel School for the tourism season. Read more
Police are still looking for a man who robbed the Citizens Savings Bank on Willow Avenue in Honesdale on February 20. Honesdale police chief Joseph LoBasso said the suspect is a white male who entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. The note said the intruder had a gun. Read more

On 02/20/2013 Honesdale Borough Police arrested 26 year old Andrew O’Donnell of Lake Ariel, for possession of Heroin. O’Donnell was found to be in possession of the Heroin at the Wayne County Probation/Parole Department, while there for an appointment. Read more
