The second annual AuthorFest at the historic Hawley Silk Mill will showcase 27 area authors. The Hawley Women's Club has planned a bus trip to Tri-Cities Opera in Binghamton, NY for the performance of Rossini's "The Italian Girl in Algiers." Cost of $80 includes the bus, a hot brunch buffet and the opera. Proceeds from bus trips fund scholarships for Wallenpaupak High School graduating seniors and donations to local charities.
