Sullivan Renaissance kicks off season
The Sullivan Renaissance Annual Conference & Expo was held at the CVI Building on March 10 and unofficially kicked off the gardening and beautification season.
The new Sullivan County Legislative Chairman Scott Samuelson started the program with an a cappella rendition of America the Beautiful. Can he sing? Senator John Bonacic thought so, and said Samuelson was in the wrong business, meaning he should be a professional singer. Read more

North Branch, NY man charged with DWI
Saturday, September 10, 2011 - Troopers responded to a two car property damage accident on Ferndale Road in the town of Liberty. A 2003 Silverado driven by David French, age 58 of Rome, PA was struck by a 2010 Dodge Avenger driven by Nathaniel C. Duffy, age 26 of North Branch, NY. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Mr. Duffy for Driving While Intoxicated. He was issued tickets returnable to the town of Liberty court on September 15, 2011.
