Damascus passes its 2013 budget
The Damascus Board of Supervisors passed the township’s 2013 budget at its meeting on November 19. Budgets in Pennsylvania must be passed by December 31. There will be no cuts in services or cuts in personnel in this budget, as happened last year. Read more
Damascus baseline methane study completed; insurance against gas migration
A recurring question in the gas drilling debate is “does hydraulic fracturing lead to gas migration?” The answers are opposite of each other: Many residents who live near gas wells that have undergone hydraulic fracturing insist that it does, while drilling companies almost always insist that it does not, even when they agree to pay settlements.
