The Damascus Township Historical Society invites all to hear John Dowd, a member of the Tusten Historical Society, present a program "CCC Camps" at Damascus Township Community Center, 60 Conklin Hill Rd. These camps were organized during the 1930s Great Recession to provide work projects in rural areas.

The presenter Kent Brown is an area resident and the executive director of the Highlights Foundation, Inc. and editor in chief emeritus of Highlights for Children, Inc.

The Damascus Township Historical Society invites all to the first program of their 2015 speaker series, 7pm. Helen Adams, a Damascus resident, will present a program "Our History and Culture Through Toys." The program will be held at the Damascus Township Community Center, 60 Conklin Hill Rd.
Meeting of the Woodland Weavers and Spinners Guild at the Township Building, 10am social hour followed by a business meeting at 11am. Please bring lunch and a mug for tea or coffee, which will be provided. Dessert will also be available. The program will be on sheep shearing and the preparation of fleece for spinning.
