Wildflower and Native Shrubs Garden Tour

Master Gardener Wildflower and Native Shrubs Garden Tour, 11am. Landscape designer Debra Myers will lead a tour of her wildflower and native shrub garden on the Upper Delaware River on River Road, Damascus across from Callicoon, NY. The garden incorporates Forrest Myers' large-scale sculptures into three main habitats: woodland, meadow-prairie and wetland. Fee: $5; children under 18 are free. 570/253-5970, ext. 4110.

Damascus road workers retained

The Damascus Township Board of Supervisors on February 18 voted unanimously to extend the employment of two township road workers who were appointed last month as foremen for 30 days. Supervisor chairman Jeffrey R. Dexter was absent from the meeting.  Read more

Grady resigns as road master; Damascus supervisor will remain as road worker

Charles (Chuck) Grady, a supervisor in Damascus Township, resigned from his position as roadmaster but will remain a member of the township’s road crew. In Pennsylvania, a supervisor can also be the township’s roadmaster.  Read more
