The Damascus Township Historical Society welcomes all to the opening of their museum for the 2013 season, 1-4pm. The museum building is located at the corner of Cochecton Turnpike (Route 371) and High School Rd. The museum will be open every Saturday thereafter from 1-4pm through the month of October.

Slow Food UpDeRiVa holds a Ramp Tramp at Channery Hill Farm, 2pm.

At a recent meeting on the proposed update for the Town of Callicoon Comprehensive Plan, resident Alvin Shoop agreed with the plan committee that the survey regarding gas drilling taken in 2010 was vague and not a good way to measure support for hydraulic fracturing among town residents.  Read more
