“The Woodstock Festival that happened here had a lot of dreamers,” said Dar Williams, a Hudson Valley singer and songwriter, at the start of her educational program for kids about the importance of helping bees and other pollinators at Bethel Woods Conservatory on August 14, before the 45th Woodstock anniversary weekend. On Friday, May 23, 2014, State Police in Liberty conducted a traffic stop on Perry Road in the town of Bethel around the Mysteryland festival. Evelyn C. Pierrepont, age 23, of Locust Valley, NY was a passenger in a 2009 Mercedes which was stopped for an equipment violation while approaching Mysteryland.
