Conservancy hosts public education event on pipeline proliferation
The Lackawaxen River Conservancy hosts a public education meeting at the community room of the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, 6:30pm. The meeting is to raise awareness of the network of more than a dozen natural gas pipelines and compressor stations that are either planned or already under construction in the Delaware River basin, including in Wayne and Pike counties. Guest speaker Faith Zerbe, of the Delaware Riverkeeper Network, will lead the meeting which is open to the public. 570/228-1952.
SLAC Annual Luncheon
The Senior Legislative Action Committee of Sullivan County will hold its 9th annual luncheon at the Eagle’s Nest restaurant, 12 noon. Guest speaker will be Congressman Chris Gibson of the 19th Congressional district. Cost: $22 per person, ($20 for SLAC members). 845/807-0255, 845/807-0241.
Woodland Weavers and Spinners Guild meeting
