The Barryville Area Arts Association has put together an exhibit, “Gold Medal Art,” that provides information and examples of some of the artwork that took home Olympic Gold from 1912 to 1948. Displayed at the Artists’ Market Community Center, 4-6pm. Refreshments, presentation and music.
Art exhibit and talk by Lori Strelecki, Director of the Pike County Historical Society, “Celebration of Plein Air” at the Highland Town Hall, 1-3pm. Sponsored by the Barryville Area Arts Association. Exhibit with prints and originals by plein air painters past and present.
Painter/poet Clyde Washington will present a rare performance "The War with God" at The Liberty Museum & Arts Center, 46 S Main St., 2pm. Clyde's extraordinary large canvasses will be on display as he performs poems he has written for each painting. A buffet is included in the $10 admission.
The Catskill Art Society presents “Design Poetics” and “Walls of Viet Nam,” exhibitions of artwork by Tal Gluck and Melinda Wallach at the CAS Arts Center, 48 Main St. Artist talk at 3pm, followed by opening reception 4-6pm. On display through November 20. 845/436-4227.

The Woodland Weavers and Spinners Guild will hold hands-on demonstrations throughout the day at the Tusten-Cochecton Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library.
Opening reception for Sandy Long’s “Portal of Place” at DENiZEN, a new studio space hosted by artist Pat Carullo, 6-8pm. The digital exhibit is an exploration of the interplay between human nature and the natural world. The studio will also be open on Saturday, October 8, from 10am-5pm.
UpFront Exhibition Space will hold it Autumn Artist’s Reception, 6-9pm. UpFront will present live music by Kevin McComb. This event is open to the public and there is no admission fee. This show will run through November 24. 845/754-5000.
