Other Shop to open season with new look, expanded hours

HONESDALE, PA — When the Other Shop opens for the season on April 7, it will debut a new look, expanded hours and a new way of doing business. The former consignment shop at 1036 Main St., Honesdale, was renovated over the winter and will now operate as a donation-only thrift store. The shop is operated by the Wayne Memorial Hospital Auxiliary to benefit the hospital’s programs and services.  Read more

Ehrhardt’s Waterfront Banquet Center welcomes Karen Loeschorn

HAWLEY, PA — Ehrhardt’s Waterfront Banquet Center announced the recent addition of Karen Loeschorn to its team. In August 2013, the company lost Diane Bernstel, the wedding coordinator for over 20 years. Loeschorn is from Milford where she is on the borough council. She brings with her expertise and experience cultivated while owning the Dimmick Inn in Milford for almost 20 years (1989-2008) and the Windy Dog Bistro (2009-2011). She is a graduate of the University of Scranton, East Stroudsburg University and the University of Kansas.

GHP offers free business seminar

Local beer on tap at beer festival on Long Island

ROSCOE, NY — Roscoe NY Beer Co. will be on tap alongside more than 50 international brewers at the 8th annual Spring Craft Beer Festival at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, March 22. They will be pouring their flagship beer, Trout Town™ American Amber Ale, and other varieties brewed specially for the occasion. HONESDALE, PA, — Wayne Economic Development Corporation (WEDCO) is taking its marketing message to new audiences with a grant from PPL Utilities.
