LIBERTY, NY — A monarch butterfly program will be held Saturday, August 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. For twenty years, Ed Wesely and Barbara Yeaman rescued monarch butterfly eggs and caterpillars from threatened habitats, reared, and released them. With the help of local school children, they’ve nurtured and that released over 6,000 adult monarchs.

Come and learn about the monarch life cycle, its migration to Mexico, and threats to its habitat. This free program will be held at the Cornell Extension office in Liberty; prior registration is required. Call 570/226-3164 or 845/583-1010, email info@delawarehighlands.org, or register online at www.delawarehighlands.org/newsevents/event/67-monarchprogram.
