FREMONT CENTER, NY — An interactive slideshow focusing on “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” will be presented by professional photographer Steve Strauss on Sunday, August 17, at 2 p.m. at the Fremont Center Community Church Social Hall located on County Road 94. The free program is open to the public and appropriate to all ages. Light refreshments will be served.

The program will feature guest speakers including Walter Sipple, Jimmy Greier, Leonard Bauer, Jim Henke, John Conway, and Edward Lohr sharing reminiscences of “Yesterday” with audience participation encouraged. Their stories will be accompanied by projected images that reflect regional history from “Today” that have been compiled and set to music by Steve Strauss. The visuals will reflect the beauty of the local landscape, while the stories that are preserved today will become part of the history of “Tomorrow.”

The show will also include a tribute to Jack Niflot, founder of the Basket Historical Society of the Upper Delaware Valley and an actively involved Town of Fremont resident, who passed away on June 22, 2013. No reservations are required. For more information, contact Steve Strauss at str2233@aol.com.
