LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — The Catskill Art Society (CAS) will present two independent movies for children as part of its new program, the CAS Film Club for Kids. The films will be shown in the newly renovated, air-conditioned galleries at the CAS Arts Center on several dates in August.
“A Cat in Paris,” a hand-drawn caper set in the shadowy-alleys of Paris, features the voices of well-known actors Marcia Gay Harden, Anjelica Huston and Matthew Modine. It will be shown at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Friday, August 16 and Sunday, August 18. The 70-minute film is rated PG for mild violence and some thematic material.
“The Painting,” a parable about a kingdom divided into three castes, will be shown at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Friday, August 23 and Sunday, August 25. The film runs 78 minutes, and it is not rated.
Tickets are available for a suggested donation of $5.
