‘The Abduction from the Seraglio’

NARROWSBURG, NY — The Delaware Valley Opera will present Mozart’s opera “Abduction from the Seraglio,” performed throughout the area on various dates, in German with English supertitles, costumed and fully staged with a chamber orchestra.

It will be at the Tusten Theatre on August 16, 23 and 24 at 8 p.m. and August 25 at 3 p.m.; at SUNY Sullivan on August 17 at 8 p.m.; at Wallenpaupack High School on August 18 at 3 p.m.; and in Montgomery on September 15 at 3 p.m.

The conductor is Kathleen Beckmann, the stage director is Carol Castel and the chorus master is Eileen Mackintosh. Konstanze will be played by Eileen Mackintosh (August 16, 18, 24), and Jamilla Sockwell (August 17, 23, 25, September 15). Belmonte and Pasha will be played by Wayne Hobbs (August 16, 18, 24), and Scott Ingham (August 16, 18, 24, September 15).
