LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — The Catskill Art Society will present local author Wayne Hoffman for a reading from his new novel “An Older Man” on Saturday, September 26 at 2 p.m. at the CAS Arts Center, 48 Main St.
“An Older Man” was published this summer by Bear Bones Books. It follows the main character from Hoffman’s breakout novel “Hard,” 15 years later, when the now-middle-aged Moe Pearlman is dealing with mortality, loss and loneliness, trying to figure out how to find love and sex in his 40s.
“As much a touching examination of aging and loneliness as it is a witty tale of sexual shenanigans during Provincetown’s Bear Week, Wayne Hoffman’s new novella, ‘An Older Man,’ is a real delight,” wrote Jeff Mann, author of “Cub” and “Salvation.”
This event is free and open to the public, and donations will be accepted at the door. The author will have copies of his book for sale. Visit www.catskillartsociety.org.
