HONESDALE, PA — Pennsylvania State Rep. Sandra Major, (R/111th District) recently visited the Wayne County Historical Society’s (WCHS) main museum at 810 Main St. and donated a flag of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to the museum. During Major’s visit, she previewed the new exhibits that will open to the public on Saturday, April 18 during the Spring Open House. Admission is free from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and light refreshments will be served from 4 to 7 p.m.

The newly donated Pennsylvania flag will be part of the Wayne County Unfurled exhibit. This new exhibit features a large selection of flags which have been donated to the museum over the decades, and also provides the visitor with some American flag history. Other new exhibits at the museum include “Life of the Lenape,” an interactive children’s exhibit showing what life was like for a Lenape family, and “Vietnam: Looking Back 50 Years,” featuring the photos of Stanton Pratt who was an Army photographer in Vietnam during 1965 and 1966.
