SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — Ten Sullivan County non-profit organizations received funding support from the Sullivan County legislature under the Sullivan County Arts & Heritage Grant program. The program is administered by the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA) in Narrowsburg, the Arts Council for Sullivan County. This program, which has been ongoing for several decades, was created to support and strengthen the arts and culture in Sullivan County.
The winning groups and their projects are: Delaware Highlands Conservancy, to revive the “Callicoon Chautauqua” in Callicoon; EB Crawford Public Library, to present a media arts program to youth; EB Crawford Public Library, to present a one-woman show to senior citizen centers; Icehouse Arts, to create an original radio play; Liberty Free Theatre, to present two one-act plays; Nesin Cultural Arts, for a day of culture and performance about Ghana; NACL Theatre, in support of its 14th theatrical season; The Old Stone House of Hasbrouck, for The Sketchbook Project, to be included in a national archive; Town of Lumberland Museum, for a lecture series and tour of area historical houses; and Weekend of Chamber Music, for “Watermusic,” to be created in conjunction with students from Livingston Manor Central School.
