HONESDALE, PA — The “Plain Speaking” series continues with Kelly Alogna, who will discuss the history and architecture of the Old Stone Jail, as well as the stories behind the inmates that make the jail unique, on Friday, July 25 at 4:30 p.m. at The Wayne County Historical Society, 810 Main St.

Learn more of the stories behind the Old Stone Jail from Wayne County Historical Society trustee and current jail chairperson Alogna. She was entrusted with the keys to the jail in 2012 when Dick Kreitner stepped down from this post.

Alogna promotes the jail and keeps its history alive with tours on the first Saturday of each month at the jail site (which is located on 10th Street behind the Wayne County Courthouse) and with last October’s Jail Tales reenactment program.
