Hickory Project to perform at The Cooperage

HONESDALE, PA — Hickory Project will be at The Cooperage as part of the Concerts in The Coop series on Friday, July 25 at 7:30 p.m. Formed in 2001, the band features hard-driving traditional and original acoustic music deeply rooted in bluegrass.

Bluegrass Unlimited says, “Hickory Project is on the forefront of the contemporary bluegrass movement.” Hickory Project plays its music worldwide. After taking the stage at The Cooperage Project, it will bring its show abroad to play for thousands at festivals in France and Hungary.

Hickory Project comprises Anthony Hannigan on mandolin and Dave Cavage on banjo. Joining them will be Steve Belcher on the acoustic bass, Mark Morris on guitar, Craig Vance on guitar and Jillian Hannigan on flute and penny whistle.

The “Concerts in the Coop” performances take place on the last Friday of each month between April and October. The series is arranged by local artist John Kascht, who began the last Friday tradition nearly a decade ago in his (honest to goodness) chicken coop. Visit www.thecooperageproject.org or call 570/253-2020.
