CALLICOON, NY — RiverFolk Concerts will welcome back Marc Black for a house concert on Saturday, July 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Jeff and Maggie Moore. There will be a potluck at 6:30 p.m. Marc has visited Sullivan County many times and will perform another evening of eclectic folk-rock that deals with life, and all its social and political challenges one song at a time.

Noted for his “timeless songs, deep grooves and excellent playing,” Marc was inducted into the New York Chapter of the Blues Hall of Fame in June of 2014. Marc plays a finger-style blues in the traditions of Mississippi Hurt and the great Tim Hardin. Marc has performed and recorded with Art Garfunkel, Taj Mahal, Richie Havens, Rick Danko and Garth Hudson to name a few. He was recently named Folk Artist of the Year on ABC Radio, a winner at the Kerrville Folk Festival and he was chosen to perform with Pete Seeger at the Folk Music Hall of Fame fundraiser last November. His song, “No Fracking Way,” recorded with John Sebastian, Eric Weissberg and a hundred Woodstock, NY citizens, has become a worldwide anthem for the movement.

Suggested donation is $15. For reservations or more information call 845/252-6783, or visit riverfolkconcerts.com or marcblack.com.
