Sour Bridges to perform at The Cooperage

HONESDALE, PA — After a first round appearance, Sour Bridges is returning to Honesdale. On Saturday, July 5, the band will be at The Cooperage, located at 1030 Main St. at 8 p.m. Sour Bridges features Bill and Matt Pucci, both born and raised in Honesdale.

Based out of Texas, Sour Bridges has made their mark on the Austin music scene, earning a reputation as the region’s premiere indie-bluegrass band. According to The Austinist (a website devoted to everything fun and unique about Austin, Texas) “[Sour Bridges] conjures a sound reminiscent of rocking chairs on porches, the shade of an old oak tree, and simpler times.”

They play “browngrass”—an offspring of bluegrass combined with folk, Americana and rock n’roll—with mandolin, banjo and fiddle at full-throttle, high-lonesome vocal harmonies, and a feverish exuberance that Texas public radio described as “Americana gone wild.”

The show is BYOB. Donations collected at the door. For more information visit www.thecooperageproject.org or call 570/253-2020.
