Delaware Valley Opera to produce ‘The Impressario’

June 25, 2014

NARROWSBURG, NY — The Delaware Valley Opera (DVO) will present “The Impressario,” a one-act opera by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, in two productions during June: on Saturday, June 28 at 7 p.m. at the Grace Episcopal Church Parish House, 9th and Church Sts. in Honesdale, PA, and on Sunday, June 29 at 3 p.m. in the Krause Hall at the DVAA Building, Main Street in Narrowsburg.

By popular demand, the DVO will reproduce the version of “The Impressario” by Mozart that it produced in 2013. Last year’s singers will again charm and delight with this up-to-date adaption of the hilarious and technically acrobatic work. It is a unique new version of Mozart’s opera about the trials and tribulations of an opera company general manager (impresario), performed in English, costumed and staged with piano.
