Kids’ art classes at The Big Eddy Toy Co.

NARROWSBURG, NY — The Big Eddy Toy Co. will offer art classes for kids this summer. Most classes are limited to 10 students, last 2 to 2.5 hours and target kids ages five to 12, unless otherwise noted. Average cost is $35. All Friday classes are taught by The Homestead’s Montessori art teacher, Linda Coss.
On Friday, June 27 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. is sculpture for ages 6 to 12. Learn about Alexander Calder, the originator of the mobile, and build a wire and found object sculpture. The cost is $35. On Saturday, June 28 are terrariums for ages six to 12. Learn about micro-ecosystems and build your own terrarium with glow-in-the-dark mushrooms. The cost is $35. On Wednesday, July 3 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. is drawing for ages four to six. Learn about Kandinsky and his use of circles and color. The cost is $25. On Thursday, July 3 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. are tote bags for ages five to 12. Come decorate your very own tote bag. The cost is $35. On Friday, July 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. all ages can drop in and make their own flags for the Narrowsburg 4th of July parade at 2 p.m. Snow-cones and fireworks at dusk. Donations accepted.
