MOUNTAINDALE, NY — The Town of Fallsburg announced the launch of a public art project that will be installed along the O&W Rail Trail between the hamlets of Mountaindale and Woodridge.
Titled the “Peace Walk,” the project will feature 15 peace signs interpreted by local artists. Visitors will be able to interact with the sculptures by taking “selfies” at each of the 15 peace signs and posting them on the Peace Walk Facebook page.
Artists interested in designing a peace sign can pick up an application at the Town of Fallsburg office. Submission deadline is June 18. All applicants must reside in Sullivan County.
Selected artists will be announced June 20. The Peace Walk opening will take place July 24 and run through August 21.
