HONESDALE, PA — A live music performance and dance party from The Householders will be at The Cooperage, 1030 Main St., on Sunday, June 1 from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

After meeting at The Himalayan Institute, a yoga ashram in northeast PA, the Householders’ members felt inspired to combine their diverse musical backgrounds in jazz, house, hip-hop, electronica and devotional Indian music. Steeped in ancient yoga tradition, they offer a contemporary portrait of what devotional music means to them in the 21st century. The Householders weave hip-hop, electronica and traditional chanting into a synthesis of dance and devotion. They bring a lot of heart and energy to encourage dance.

The Householders are starting off their CD release tour at The Cooperage before heading to the Midwest. Come dance and celebrate the release of The Householders’ second album, “Stand Up.”

Donations will be collected at the door. For more information visit www.thecooperageproject.org or call 570/253-2020.
