Monday, May 26

ROSCOE, NY—10 a.m. Fritz Kirchner will lead a service at the Veterans’/Firemen’s Memorial Park immediately following the parade

LIBERTY, NY—On behalf of The Town of Liberty and Cpl. Russell D. Sprague American Legion Post #109, the parade will start at 10:30 a.m. and travel through the business district in the Village of Liberty, proceed down Church Street and end at the Liberty Veterans Cemetery on Cold Spring Road. At the cemetery, there will be a short service to honor our war heroes. Guest Speaker will be the Hon. Harold Bauman.

WURTSBORO, NY—The American Legion Post #1266 will sponsor a Memorial Day Parade, 1 p.m. Parade will end at the Veterans Park. The guest speaker is Gary Greenwald. At the conclusion of the service there will be a BBQ at the American Legion, 92 Pine St.

FREMONT CENTER, NY—130th annual Fremont Center Memorial Day Parade, 9 a.m. The parade route will be through Fremont Center to the baseball field. Special Memorial Service at New Veterans Park (next to town barn) at 9:30 a.m.

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY—10:30 a.m. begins at the Livingston Manor Firehouse

Saturday, May 24

EQUINUNK, PA—The Equinunk Historical Society, 1972 Pine Mill Rd., annual Memorial Weekend Observance and Ice Cream Social, 1 p.m. They are honoring a distinguished local veteran, Earl J. Schuman. Earl lived his entire life in Equinunk except when he served in the U.S. Army European Theater.

Sunday, May 25

HAWLEY, PA—Parade lines up at 12 noon at Bingham Park and kicks off at 1 p.m.

NARROWSBURG, NY — The Tusten Settlement Association will hold a Memorial Day Service at the Old Baptist Church located on Route 97 at 2 p.m. Sullivan County Historian John Conway will serve as the keynote speaker with members of the VFW Tusten, Highland, Lumberland Post #6427 participating. A graveside salute follows. Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the ceremony. For more information, call Kathleen Johnson at 845/252-3959.

WOODRIDGE, NY — Memorial Services at Veterans Park on Roosevelt Avenue, 4 p.m. If it rains, they will meet in village hall.

BLOOMINGBURG, NY — V.F.W. Post #4947 will have Memorial Day services at the Bloomingburg Cemetery, 12 noon.

FORESTBURGH, NY — Services will be conducted at the Veterans Triangle, Route 42 South, 9 a.m. Sponsored by the Town of Forestburgh, the American Legion, Jewish War Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars, all locally based Monticello organizations. Refreshments to follow at the pavilion. Master of Ceremonies is Al Etkin.

MONTICELLO, NY — Services at the County Government Center, 10:30 a.m. The service is sponsored by the American Legion, the Jewish War Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, all Monticello organizations. Keynote Speaker will be Jane Wagner, Team Leader, Middletown Vet Center. Refreshments to follow at the Monticello Elks Lodge on North Street. All are invited. Master of Ceremonies is Al Etkin.

LIBERTY, NY — The Veterans Service Agency will provide a Memorial Day service and wreath laying ceremony at the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery, Sunset Lake Road, 1 p.m. The keynote speaker will be Richard R. Keiser, past NYS American Legion commander. Keiser was inducted in the NYS Senate Veterans’ Hall of Fame in 2013. Master of Ceremonies is John Crotty

TOWN OF MAMAKATING, NY — V.F.W. Post #4947 Boy Scout breakfast, 7 a.m. at Wurtsboro Community Church. Dedication at Summitville Firehouse at 9 a.m.

BETHEL, NY — Services at Town of Bethel Veterans Park, 11 a.m. Flag dedication will follow at the Bethel Senior Citizens Center.

LONG EDDY, NY — The Allan Milk Memorial Post #7276 will hold services in Long Eddy Catholic Cemetery, 1 p.m. Luncheon to follow at Long Eddy Firehouse.

OBERNBURG, NY — Services at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on County Road 95, 3 p.m., refreshments to follow in the church hall.

NEVERSINK, NY — Flag ceremony at the flag pole, Grahamsville Rural Cemetery, 11 a.m. Flag exchange: Flag for Calvin Drown will come down and be exchanged for George Coombe’s flag.

ELDRED, NY — American Legion Post #1363 will conduct a Memorial Service at Eldred Cemetery, Route 55, 9 a.m.

BARRYVILLE, NY — American Legion Post #1363 will conduct a memorial service at the Barryville Cemetery, Mail Road, 9:30 a.m.

NEWFOUNDLAND, PA — The American Legion Post #859 will hold a service at 11 a.m. at the Newfoundland Park across from the Wallenpaupack Area South Elementary School.

STERLING, PA — The Sterling United Methodist Church in will hold a service at 1 p.m.
