Campilongo at The Cooperage

HONESDALE, PA — Jim Campilongo and Honeyfingers will be at The Cooperage on Friday, May 30 at 7:30 p.m. Campilongo’s songwriting draws from blues, country, jazz and rock.

Billboard Magazine calls Campilongo “an American treasure” while The New Yorker raves “Jim Campilongo holds court. American music is a melting pot of influences, but few guitarists capture the nuances as well as Campilongo does.”

Campilongo has been a repeat musical guest on Letterman and Conan, and he frequently joins forces with Norah Jones in their band The Little Willies. Fender guitar created the Campilongo Signature Telecaster model in his honor.

Campilongo will be joined onstage with Honeyfingers. Honeyfingers was at The Cooperage last August playing ‘50s era country jazz. The energetic band features Jonny Lam on pedal steel guitar (the instrument that lends this genre its characteristic velvety twang), Roy Williams on guitar and piano, Luca Benedetti on electric guitar, Dave Speranza on upright bass and Coleman Smith on fiddle.

The show is BYOB. Donations are collected at the door. Visit www.thecooperageproject.org or call 570/253-2020.
