HAWLEY, PA — Harmony Presents will host songwriter Jean Rohe and one of Scotland’s most accomplished harpists, Maeve Gilchrist, on Saturday, April 26 at the Silk Mill at 7:30 p.m. For this show, on the occasion of Hawley Earth Fest and the return of spring, they present songs full of nature imagery, culled from their own writing, traditional repertoire, and the collections of some of their favorite songwriters. They met while performing a contemporary classical music score as part of the Next Wave Festival at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, but both have their roots in folk traditions and were trained as improvisers.

Tickets cost $16 in advance and $20 at the door. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at www.harmonypresents.com or in person at AMSkier Insurance Agency located at 209 Main Ave. in Hawley. Cocoon caters wine, beer, snacks and mixed drinks on site at the shows and an advance ticket serves as a coupon for 20% off Glass Wine Bar & Bistro after the show. For more information, or help purchasing tickets, call Harmony Presents at 570/588-8077.
