April 9, 2014

REGION — The Stanley J. Segal Scholarship for the Visual Arts is being offered by the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance to high school seniors in Sullivan County, NY or Wayne County, PA who wish to pursue advanced studies in the visual arts, including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture and photography.

One $500 scholarship will be awarded based on portfolio submissions. Portfolio submissions must include a CD or DVD with 10 to 12 300 dpi jpg images, numbered; a page listing the images by number, title, medium, and creation date; and the completed copy of the student information form. The student information form, along with these guidelines, can be found in school guidance offices or downloaded from the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance website at artsalliancesite.org.

A paper copy of the application can also be mailed or picked up by calling 845/252-7576, or visiting the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance at 37 Main Street, Narrowsburg, NY.

The application deadline is Friday, May 16. This is not a postmark deadline, but is the date by which applications must be received in the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance offices. The scholarship for visual arts was established by Sheldon Soffer in memory of Stanley J. Segal.
