NARROWSBURG, NY — Salon Series, Delaware Valley Arts Alliance’s winter weekend series of performances, talks and readings, will continue from March 9 through April 6. Audiences can look forward to ethnic folk musicians Simple Gifts on March 9; Jazzmosis, a rock/jazz fusion quartet, on March 23; Tara Kelly and Tim Farrand playing classical duets on March 30; and an April 6 reading of Bill Donnelly’s comedy “Siverstein.” Salon events are held in the Krause Recital Hall at the Delaware Arts Center, 37 Main St.

On Sunday, March 9 at 1 p.m., the award-winning ensemble Simple Gifts, two women playing 10 instruments, will present a talk and demonstration about the origins of the ethnic music that they play—Klezmer and Gypsy melodies, Irish jigs, exotic Balkan dance tunes and American reels—and how they blend those styles with American roots. Simple Gifts’ visit is made possible through Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.

Minimum suggested donation for each event is $10. For information and reservations, call 845/252-7576 or visit www.artsalliancesite.org.
