HONESDALE, PA — RiverFolk Concerts will host the return of Joe Crookston to The Cooperage on Sunday, February 9 at 3 p.m. with his trio The Bluebird Jubilee. Crookston will perform of new tunes including from his new CD “Georgia, I’m Here,” which will be released at the beginning of March.
Crookston is a master storyteller, and he sings stories of ruby red dresses, Tinian Island, Dylan Thomas, Taoist parables and drunken roosters. His music has been recorded and performed by Irish harpers, a cappella gospel choirs, solo artists and numerous national and international performers. His music swirls with themes of lightness, darkness, clocks ticking, weeping willows, cynicism, hope and the cycles of life and rebirth.
The suggested donation is $15 reserved and $18 at the door. For reservations, call 845/252-6783 or email riverfolkconcerts@frontier.com. For more information, visit www.riverfolkconcerts.com. To hear Crookston’s music, visit www.joecrookston.com.
