Year end healing workshop and concert
December 18, 2013 —
NARROWSBURG, NY — A “Year End Sound Shower,” a workshop and concert by Rakel Terceño, will be held on Sunday, December 29 from 2:30 to 5 p.m. at Beaverbrook Cottage, 1256 Crystal Lake Rd.
This concert is a healing offering, a sound- and music-induced experience to honor our blessings in 2013 and welcome our joyful visions for 2014. With an open heart, we co-create a cleansing transformative space in which to let go of what is no longer needed and make room for the new. Personal and collective visions and intentions become a focus and active part of the ritual as Terceño improvises medicine melodies, rhythms and healing sounds, using voice, Tibetan bowls, tuning forks, an Indian shruti box and other instruments.
The first half of the afternoon together will be spent exploring simple yet tremendously beneficial breath, movement, sound and body percussion practices that, taken into a daily routine, can shift one’s health in a matter of months.
Wear comfortable clothing. Bring anything you may need (blankets, pillows) to be cozy while laying down for an hour. Chairs will also be available as an alternative. If you wish to write a little poem honoring 2013, or envisioning 2014, Terceño would love to include it as a part of our journey. Tea and light snacks will be available for the duration of the gathering. You are also invited to stay and share past 5 p.m.
Terceño is a healing intuitive, musician and certified integrative sound healing practitioner (by the Sound and Music Institute). Her heart work is to facilitate transformation and accompany others in their journey of becoming. Visit www.rakelterceno.com.
