LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — The Catskill Art Society will present local artist Bruce Janklow for a photography presentation and discussion focused on his latest trip to Myanmar at the CAS Arts Center at 48 Main St., on Sunday, November 24 at 2 p.m. This event is free and open to the public, and small donations will be accepted at the door.

Janklow, an avid photographer, traveler and local resident, has captured the pagodas, monks, natural beauty and endearing faces of a country that is emerging from isolation and joining the world community. Janklow will share his photos and impressions from his just-completed photographic tour. Wine and cheese will follow an audience Q & A.

“As a photographer, after many years of taking pictures, I am interested in trying to turn my camera into my paintbrush and see how painterly I can become,” said Janklow.

Janklow works in ceramics and photography, and splits his time between the high desert of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and the Beaverkill Valley in the Catskill Mountains of New York State.
