HONESDALE, PA — RiverFolk Concerts will present Patrick Fitzsimmons on Sunday, October 20 at 3 p.m. at The Cooperage.

Fitzsimmons is a 2011 and 2012 Solarfest national songwriting contest finalist and a three-time Ploughshares national songwriting contest finalist, and has had his songs placed in several independent films. His last CD, “So Beautiful So Blue,” made several Best of 2008 lists and was played on radio stations all over the country.

He has just released “Hope Is,” his sixth CD and first on Malletts Bay Records. The title is directly inspired by the Emily Dickinson poem, “Hope Is the Thing With Feathers.” This CD is the Vermont-based songwriter’s definitive statement after a victorious battle with cancer.

Suggested donation is $15 in advance, $18 at the door. For reservations or more information, call 845/252-6783. Light fare will be available from Willow River Café, BYOB.
