MILFORD, PA — An opening reception will be held on Saturday, September 14 from 6 to 9 p.m. for Alvin Rosser and Madeline Tully, whose paintings will be shown at the ARTery Gallery from September 13 through October 7.

Rosser, a member of the gallery for 10 years, has won many awards since retiring as an art teacher in 1986. He is also a published author of poetry and short stories, his most recent being a piece called “Mother’s Day 1938” published in the April/May issue of Reader’s Digest (www.reminisce.com/1930s/the-perfect-gift-for-mothers-day/). Meanwhile, Tully’s love of natural settings shines through in her oil on canvas and watercolors that reflect the sensibilities of color and light
