Saddle up for the rodeo

August 28, 2013

MILFORD, PA — The rodeo at Malibu Ranch is held every Saturday through the Labor Day holiday weekend and is co-approved by the American Professional Rodeo Association. Participants from across the United States compete in categories of bull riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, team roping, barrel racing and breakaway roping. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and rodeos begin at 7 p.m. rain or shine.

Shelly Anthony of Saylorsburg, a new competitor in barrel racing this year, has won first-place money and a buckle twice already in the 2013 professional rodeo series held at the Malibu Dude Ranch. Championship finals will be held the Saturday of Labor Day weekend.

Malibu Ranch is an authentic working horse ranch at 351 Foster Hill Rd. Visit or call 570/296-7281.
