MILFORD, PA — Pike County Arts and Crafts, Inc. (PCAC) is pleased to host artist Janet Campbell for its May First Sunday demonstration on May 5 at 1:30 p.m. at the Milford Borough Hall.
Campbell will demonstrate the watercolor technique of ‘pouring’ watercolors. Instead of using a brush, the colors are mixed with water in containers and poured onto the paper. The white of the paper is saved by masking, therefore planning is involved.
Campbell’s work was accepted into the 2013 American Watercolor Society Exhibit in New York City. She won the Dot and Dick Price Award at the 2012 NorthEast Watercolor Society International Juried Exhibition.
Her work is represented by the Wallkill River School and Gallery in Montgomery, NY where she teaches classes and workshops in watercolor.
The public is invited to this free event to enjoy learning about the process and techniques of making art and meet Campbell and the members of PCAC while enjoying refreshments. Visit www.pikecountyart sandcrafts.org.
