Pittman’s ‘Tributaries’ opens
April 10, 2013 —
YOUNGSVILLE, NY — A new show featuring recent still life paintings by Helena Clare Pittman will open at Domesticities & The Cutting Garden on April 13 at 3p.m.
Dedicated to the memory of long-time friend and mentor, Elmira Stuart Ingersoll, “Tributaries” draws from inspiration Pittman has received from the mentors, writers and artists in her life. Quoting writer Jean Rhys, Pittman says, “‘I don’t matter. The lake matters. You must keep feeding the lake.’ And so I am a tributary, and my paintings are tributaries too. And with them I pay tribute to the masters who have taught and inspired me.” To learn more about Pittman’s works, visit www.helenaclarepittman.com.
