2012 Year in Review—That’s entertainment!

Like the "swallows to Capistrano," hippies flock to Bethel, NY every year to commemorate the 1969 Woodstock Festival

Reflection and photos by Jonathan Fox

The Upper Delaware Valley has long been a destination for those desiring entertainment & leisure activities. Whether it’s theatre, art, music or recreation, the Catskills region has something for everyone, and 2012 was a banner year. Bethel Woods beckoned with concerts under the stars, while the Delaware Valley Arts Association (along with so many others) offered up gallery exhibits that showcased local talent. Shows, parades, and family events popped up in every county, town and hamlet as the year flew by, exemplifying the many opportunities that visitors and residents alike have grown to love here in the country.

As we look back at The River Reporter’s photographic year-in-review, we look forward to 2013 and the new and exciting entertainment opportunities that await. For a complete photo album of our entertainment year in review, “like” us on Facebook (
