December holiday tours at Grey Towers

MILFORD, PA — Grey Towers National Historic Site will offer guided holiday tours of the decorated mansion from Monday, December 10 through Saturday, December 22 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Members of the Milford Garden Club will decorate the 1886 mansion, formerly the home of Gov. Gifford Pinchot, founder and first chief of the U.S. Forest Service.

In addition to the guided tours, visitors can view a holiday art exhibit and sale, plein air paintings by artists of Come Paint With Me and photographs by members of the Highlands Photography Guild, all depicting Grey Towers and the landscape. The holiday art show is co-sponsored by the Grey Towers Heritage Association.

The gift shop is open from December 10 through 22 offering a 20% discount. The shop’s holiday gift items are provided by the Eastern National Forests Interpretive Association and the Grey Towers Heritage Association. Call 570/296-9630.
