LIBERTY, NY — The Liberty Free Theatre will lead into Labor Day with a special evening of poetry and jazz on Friday, August 31 at 7:30 p.m. Poet Barry Wallenstein will read from his recent collection of selected and new poems, “Drastic Dislocations,” and jazz guitarist and composer Steve Carlin will play and accompany Wallenstein in a performance of their celebrated collaborations of poetry and jazz. They will be joined by special guests bassist Tony DeCicco and saxophonist Larry Ravdin.
Admission is free. Seating is limited and reservations are recommended. The audience is invited to gather after the performance for food, drink and music. The theatre is located at 109 South Main St. Call 845/292-3788.
