LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — The Catskill Art Society (CAS) will present “Framing the Landscape,” a three-person exhibition featuring photographs from Gregory T. Davis and Chip Forelli and oil paintings by Kit Sailer, at the CAS Arts Center, 48 Main St., running September 1 to October 7.

Gregory T. Davis lives and works as an artist in Kentucky. Davis will show a collection of color photographs that are an examination of the dichotomy of vision within one space, separated by a single lens. He is a professor of photography at the University of Kentucky. Chip Forelli is an award-winning assignment and fine-art location photographer who specializes in black and white landscapes. Forelli describes his creative quest as “the discovery of visual gifts—those precious instances of unrevealed beauty that we unknowingly encounter every day.” He lives in Damascus, PA. Kit Sailer will present oil paintings of sites in northwest Sullivan County where she has a second home in Callicoon. Sailer lives in Jersey City, NJ, where she teaches painting and drawing to adults at the Visual Art Center of New Jersey and to K-12 teachers at the Artist/Teacher Institute.

CAS Gallery hours are Thursday to Saturday and Monday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Saturday, September 1, there will be an artists’ talk at 3 p.m. and an opening reception from 4 to 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Visit www.catskil lartsociety.org.
